Entry Door Repaired After Break-In in Etobicoke

An Etobicoke front entry near Centennial Park had break-in damage around the latch and deadbolt side. BoardUp rebuilt and reinforced the damaged section so the door could close and secure again.

Project details

The break-in damaged the lock side of the entrance, not just the surface.

The strike side of the frame was broken around the latch and deadbolt areas. The repair focused on rebuilding the damaged jamb, restoring the closing line and reinforcing the points that let the door latch and lock again.

Project questions

Entry-door break-in repair questions

These are common questions when the lock side of the entry door has been broken during a break-in.

Can a front entry door be repaired after a break-in?

Often, yes. If the door slab is still usable, the repair can focus on rebuilding the damaged jamb and strike areas so the entrance secures again.

Do you reinforce the lock side of the frame?

Yes. Repair work can include rebuilding and reinforcing the latch and deadbolt areas so the closing and locking points are stable again.

Do you check the door after the repair is complete?

Yes. The repaired entrance is checked so the door can close, latch and lock correctly after the frame work is finished.
