BoardUp Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information BoardUp collects when you call, message or submit a service request, and how that information is used to respond.

Effective date: August 30, 2026

Information we collect

When you request service, we may collect your name, telephone number, email address, city or postal code, service address, description of the damage and any photos or messages you choose to send. Website hosting and security systems may also record technical information such as an IP address, browser type, request time and visited page.

Why we use the information

We use this information to respond to your request, understand the damaged opening, confirm service availability, communicate about scheduling and pricing, provide the requested work, prepare records or invoices, and protect the website from misuse.

Website analytics and advertising measurement

BoardUp uses Google Analytics 4 and Google Ads to understand website traffic, improve the service experience and measure advertising results. Measurement may include pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser details, traffic source, campaign identifiers, scrolling, navigation, request-form activity and interactions with call, text, WhatsApp and email controls. A successful website request may also send a Google Ads form-conversion event.

For eligible visitors arriving through a Google ad, Google may temporarily replace BoardUp’s displayed telephone number with a Google forwarding number where Google Consent Mode permits advertising measurement. This allows Google Ads call reporting to measure whether a call meets the configured conversion duration. SMS and WhatsApp links are not changed by this feature.

We configure site analytics not to send the contents of form fields such as your name, phone number, email address, postal code, message or uploaded file names to Google Analytics or Google Ads event data. For service-request attribution, the website may attach non-content fields to a submitted request, such as landing page, referring domain, campaign parameters, advertising click identifiers, a Google Analytics client or session identifier and a randomly generated submission identifier. These fields help us understand which marketing sources produce service requests and prevent one request from being counted more than once.

Google Consent Mode and your storage choice

For visitors in Canada and other regions where this approach is permitted, Google Analytics and Google Ads measurement storage is enabled by default. Advertising personalization remains denied. The site does not automatically open a consent banner; you can review or change measurement storage at any time using Privacy choices in the footer.

For visitors in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom and Switzerland, analytics storage, advertising storage, advertising user-data use and advertising personalization remain denied unless the visitor actively selects Allow measurement. Selecting Allow measurement permits analytics storage, advertising storage and advertising user-data use for measurement, while advertising personalization remains denied. Selecting Reject measurement keeps all four Consent Mode signals denied, removes Google measurement cookies accessible to this website and clears locally stored marketing-attribution history.

When storage remains denied, Google tags may still receive limited cookieless measurement signals for aggregated reporting and modelling, but the website does not grant analytics or advertising storage. Cross-page marketing-attribution history is saved in this website’s local storage only after an explicit Allow measurement choice. Current-page campaign and referrer details may still be held temporarily in memory and attached to a service request without being saved for future visits.

Photos sent by SMS or WhatsApp

Only send photos that are relevant to the damaged glass, window, door, storefront, frame or surrounding opening. SMS, mobile networks and WhatsApp operate under their own privacy terms. BoardUp uses the received photos to assess and respond to the service request.

Sharing and service providers

We do not sell customer information. Information may be handled by service providers used for website hosting, analytics, advertising measurement, form delivery, email, messaging and business records, only as needed to operate those services. We may also disclose information when required by law.

Retention and safeguards

Information is kept only as long as reasonably needed for the service request, business records, accounting, dispute handling or legal requirements. We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards appropriate to the information under our control.

Your choices

You may ask what personal information BoardUp holds about you, request a correction, or ask for deletion when retention is not required for an active job, accounting or legal purpose.
